Since January 2021, the HMTM is funded by the DAAD programme "STIBET II - Model Projects to Promote a Welcoming Culture".

Under the title "#gis - Grundlagen für internationale Studierende", digital content for an e-learning platform will be developed and made available over the next three years. Various digital formats will be produced with which international Bachelor's students can prepare for the musicological subjects in self-study. The initial target group is students from East Asia (China, Korea and Japan). As a long term goal, however, the programme will also address the special needs of other international target groups.

In addition to music theory content, the programme also aims at addressing cultural challenges. In addition, the programme will be linked to the advisory services offered by the International Office.
