Erasmus+ enables continuing and further study initiatives for University personnel in Programme Countries.
University employees from all areas are supported, e. g.:
- General and technical administration
- Library
- Faculties
- Finance
- International Office
- Public Relations/Communication
- Student Counselling
Possible areas for further training include e. g.:
- Work experience
- Job shadowing
- Study visits
- Participation in workshops and seminars (current offerings of International Staff Weeks: Staff Week Search)
- Language Courses
Requirements for participation:
- approved travel authorization request (Dienstreiseantrag)
- country of the partner university is not your main country of residence
- duration of stay: 2 - 60 days (not including travel days)
- An application for support may be made at any time, as long as sufficient funds are available
- Preparation of stay and communication with partner university is responsibility of the participant
- Willingness to look after guests from our partner universities at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich (HMTM).
The Erasmus+ mobility grant does not include any insurance cover. Neither the European Commission nor the DAAD accept any liability for damages resulting from illness, death, accident, injury to persons, loss or damage to possessions in connection with Erasmus+ stays abroad. We explicitly advise you that to have adequate insurance covering the private realm.
Please contact us before your stay. You will need to plan and book the trip yourself. The mobility agreement has to be drawn up before your stay between you and the partner institution.
Before the beginning of your stay:
- Submit a travel authorization request (Dienstreiseantrag).
- Complete the Mobility Agreement and have it signed by the partner university (scanned signatures are sufficient). Then submit it to the International Office.
- We will send you a “Grant Agreement” which includes your financial support. Please return the signed original copy of this document to us. We will then transfer the payment.
Please note that the signatures on this document must be made before your departure.
After the end of your stay:
- Submit the Letter of Confirmation. Please have it signed by the partner institution before your departure.
- By e-mail, you will receive a link to an online questionnaire (report about your experiences). Please complete this within 30 days after the end of your stay.
- We are happy to receive verbal or written feedback on your stay abroad
Financing of mobility for teaching purposes (STA) within the Erasmus+ framework in the 2020/2021 academic year:

In addition to these daily rates, travel costs are reimbursed depending on the actual distance between the starting point and destination of the mobility, calculated throughout Europe using a distance calculator provided by the European Commission.
